All door-to-door peddlers, solicitors or transient merchants in Cloquet are required to carry a City-issued license with them at all times and show it at the request of any resident. All licenses will be issued after approval by the City Council and the completion of a satisfactory background check.

Questions about the licensing of a peddler, solicitor or transient merchant can be referred to the City Administrator’s Office at (218) 879-3347. If you have a complaint about the business practices, please call the Cloquet Police Department at “911.”
