In Minnesota, you can vote early with an absentee ballot starting 46 days before Election Day.
'No Excuse' Needed to Vote Absentee
Minnesota voters no longer need an excuse to vote absentee, such as being ill or out of their precinct on Election Day. You can vote early by using an absentee ballot instead of voting in person at the polling place on Election Day.
You can request, receive and cast an absentee ballot in one visit to the Carlton County Auditor's Office or download the application.
Return applications by mail, fax or email to the Carlton County Auditor at:
PO Box 130
Carlton MN 55718-0130
OR apply for an Absentee Ballot Application Online
If you have any questions on how to vote absentee, please contact the Carlton County Auditor's Office at (218) 384-9127.
